In our office, you will work with highly experienced physical therapists who are compassionate listeners and keen diagnosticians. We will conduct a comprehensive evaluation that starts with your medical history and current complaints. We will then assess your condition using a full body approach to gather information about any issues you may have with posture, strength, stability, range of motion, body mechanics and mobility. Finally we will tailor a treatment plan to meet your unique needs, which will usually consist of manual therapy and exercise prescription based on your goals.
Our 45 minute private sessions are one-on-one with a physical therapist. We are extremely attentive to form and proper body mechanics so we prefer to work with you ourselves rather than using aides to oversee your program. This way there is no room for error. You will leave us with a very clear understanding of your condition as well as how to maintain your rehabilitated status and prevent future injury. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and the knowledge to attain any state of wellness to which you aspire.
Hip Preservation
Prolonged pain around the hip can lead to pain in other areas, including (but not limited to) the lower back and knee. It can also lead to inhibition of the muscles around the hip joint, and in order to optimize hip function these muscles need to be re-educated to function normally again.
Hip preservation is the attempt to prolong the life of the hip with surgery (or non-operative measures) in order to improve the mechanics. Some patients require osteotomies (where bone is cut) including periacetabular osteotomy, surgical hip dislocation, or derotational osteotomy of the femur, or they may benefit from arthroscopic hip surgery to address labral tears and impingement. Other patients may benefit from non-operative measures/physical therapy to become aware of positions/movements that are not optimal for their hip, and to strengthen the muscles around the hip joint and core.

Pilates allows students of all fitness levels to build core strength and flexibility with both bodyweight and spring-resisted exercise. Centurion Physical Therapy has a dedicated private Pilates studio fully equipped with Balanced Body machinery. In addition, we offer private and group mat Pilates sessions in our larger group exercise space.

Every client’s first session begins with a quick PT screen to make sure sessions are safe and optimally focused.
Blood-flow restriction (BFR) training is the brief and intermittent occlusion of venous blood flow by using a specialized pressurized cuff while exercising.
BFR training can help patients to make greater strength gains while lifting lighter weight, therefore reducing the overall stress placed on the body.
Muscle tissue requires a stress input to adapt. The traditionally accepted standard for exercise prescription to target muscle size and strength is load based, with physiologic guidelines recommending 65% or more of a one-repetition maximum to create adaptation. It is thought that BFR works through similar physiological pathways and creates a “signal” that is similar to high-intensity exercise.
Evidence for Effects of BFR include:
Speak with your physical therapist to determine if you are a candidate for BFR.
We offer an anti-gravity treadmill. Using a differential air pressure system, this treadmill reduces weight-bearing, making it ideal for individuals with weight bearing restrictions who need to restore their gait, runners recovering from injury, and those with joint issues seeking low-impact cardiovascular exercise.
Introducing the NeuroCatch device, which provides a non-invasive EEG to assess cognitive brain function. We can now measure your baseline attention, auditory processing, and cognitive processing—an invaluable tool for post-concussion evaluations or anyone concerned about brain health.
We’ve launched a YouTube channel, featuring guided tutorials for our most commonly prescribed exercises! Clear instructions ensure proper form, and you can easily access these videos on our website under “Exercise Videos.”
Shockwave therapy (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology) is an innovative, non-invasive and effective method for treating orthopedic injuries using pressure waves, helping to restart the healing process of damaged tissue and increasing blood flow. Many people see improvement after only three sessions.

How long does each treatment last?
What injuries can be treated with shockwave therapy?
There is a growing body of evidence to support shockwave therapy:

The average person works an average of 38.7 hours per week. For most of you, that time is spent sitting at a desk. An ergonomic assessment identifies potential risk factors in your workstation, and provides recommendations for optimal setup to reduce chronic neck and back pain as well as overuse injuries of the upper extremities.
We offer personalized assessments based upon your body and your work station. A physical therapist will come to your office and evaluate you in your environment and make recommendations based upon your setup and your symptoms. An ergonomic assessment does not require a large investment in equipment. A high degree of knowledge and a little creativity will go a long way towards a more comfortable work day.
